Haven't really tried a manip like this before. Sort of with Big Brother 2, but i had already created the space scene first for that.

This piece killed my PC. created at something like 3500 x 3800 it was well over 250Mb big. Anyway im still progressing as an artist and hope this is one step in the right direction.

comments + favs appreciated.

Enjoy

Amazing colours.. however honestly it looks better in the smaller version because of the quality. Sometimes these are hard to fix though right? :)

Other than that, awesome work.

Hey, this is a great picture. I really like how realistic this looks, the way it seems as if you're on earth looking up to a new view. It's interesting to see that you combined a photograph with a render, most of the time I see full time renders, not combinations (Actually, I can't recall any). Again, I do like this style, I think it would look simply amazing with higher quality and other various setting photographs.

Your skills with creating depth with the nebula in this piece is quite well composed. The photo is a little grainy, but not too bad overall.
Well done.

Beautiful! Im really having trouble finding something I dont like, the colours work together superbly. I suppose the only thing that doesnt seem to jel in my mind is the difference in picture quality between the photograph and the space scene. Which makes the smaller of the two moons look slightly out of place, but im really clutching at straws, excellent work :)

Damn, that's so pretty! When I first saw it I actually thought it was a real photo -- then I noticed the two moons and read that it was a manip -- gorgous still though!

Just because you signature compelled me to:

Nice work. I really like how this is all put together. Browny points for the star cluster and purple nebula. In a way it puts that whole "what if someone is looking back at us" concept into perspective.

it looks really cool, awsome job with the manip. the planets and the nebula look really well done.
my only crit would be an area around one of the brighter stars (between the big and little planet, the one closer to the big planet) there seems to be a eraser mark or something to that effect. it just stands out a little as being a black hole in the purple sky.
awsome job though. keep it up:)

I like the overall colour spectrum used, its a neat effect really. One thing I could suggest for more interest and a more natural feel is to add more over head clouds to make it look more like you are looking up at the sky, It would make the piece feel a bit more natural and thigh together. Nice work.

really nice photo and colour scheme, the photo is a little grainy tho.

The space is minimal, more realistic and looks really well done imho, the lighting on the planets looks correct and i like the little purple nebula top right

overall a really nice image, was the photo taken by yourself ?

hmmm you have extreemly clear moons and planets but your photo is blury and of low quality,. you need to choose photos that have the same quality here you have a grainy image and one without spliced together. hope that helps

I love the realism of this picure with the city underneath! It's very good. (maybe it's not THAT realistic, but it looks like it to me, so don't flame me anyone). Wonderful use of colours too:).
